From November until March, it's the best time to visit Mui Ne – when it is dry, sunny, and constantly windy, attracting kite surfers like crazy. The beach looks fabulous, and the sand dunes become dry enough to walk around. April and October fall into the shoulder seasons when a beach vacation is still possible. Being one of the driest places in Vietnam, even during low season, it's unlikely that you'll have several rainy days consecutively. • The Sand Dunes (White and Red) - Mui Ne’s most iconic scenery. On the other hand, the red dunes near town are easily reachable – children from the nearby villages rent plastic sleds and slide down the slopes during sunrise and sunset when the sun paints the sand in varying hues of orange.
